Deep Brain Reorienting

Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) is a modality of trauma psychotherapy that aims to process traumatic experience(s) by tracking the original sequence of physiological responses that occurred when an individual was exposed to shock or attachment trauma. DBR aims to access and treat these physiological responses which originate in the deeper levels of the brain, the brain stem. This is completed in a non-invasive manner by tracking, noticing, and releasing tension felt in the head, neck, and face.

This methodology was pioneered by Dr. Frank Corrigan in 2018 and has been (and is continuing
to be) rigorously tested by Dr. Ruth Lanius in Ontario.
