About Me

Welcome to my webpage! Let me start out by saying I am not what people think of when they
picture a psychologist. It’s highly likely I will greet you at the door wearing slippers (winter) or flip flops (summer) – because let’s be honest – comfort is key! I’m very casual, down to earth, and believe that the therapeutic relationship should be one where the client (you!) truly feels they have been both seen and heard. However, I also believe that our time together must be purposeful where we have clearly outlined what your goals are in relation to seeking services and determining how I can best support you in achieving these goals using evidence-based practice.

It’s extremely important to me that during the therapeutic process, my clients feel comfortable, safe, and supported during our time together. My hope is that this safe space becomes a place where clients can therapeutically process aspects of life that have been/are causing them distress, pain, and/or suffering. I help individuals achieve their unique therapeutic goals so that they can live a comfortable, calm life as they so choose. I work with individuals from all different backgrounds, cultures, religions, spiritual belief systems, sexual orientations, and gender identities. For children and teens, parental consent will need to be obtained, as well as assent from the teenager for us to work together. I also work with couples.

I am a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists. I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology and I have heavily specialized in working with individuals struggling with trauma (including PTSD and complex PTSD) and the myriad of related symptoms that often manifest alongside trauma. These symptoms may include (but are not limited to):

  • Suicidal ideation/Suicide attempts

  • Self-harming behaviors/Non-suicidal self injury (NSSI)

  • Addiction

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Interpersonal/Relational Issues

  • Grief/Loss

  • Dissociation including depersonalization/derealization

  • Struggles with executive functioning skill sets (ADHD)

  • Mood/Personality disorders

  • Emotional dysregulation

  • Sleep issues
